Z33 Throttle body fitment

Will 350Z throttle bodies fit the 370Z/G37? Or would I need a different intake manifold that can utilize them. What's the difference between the EPS 70mm tbs and the z33 tbs? Can anyone chime in?

Cause buying used z33 tbs would be alot cheaper than buying EPS tbs. I mean they're essentially the same other than the fact that the EPS ones come with adapter plates. Yeah but the rain ceased and my car isn't completely underwater

oem maxima throttle bodies is what eps uses. Save yourself some money and buy those. I’ve asked a local mechanic to source out the same kit. He said he can do it for around $500 or so. So eps will just scratch off the numbers on the throttle bodies they send to you so you don’t know that they are maxima throttle bodies. They are shadyyyyyyyyyy.

Im speaking about all these facts and sharing my expirence with all this so nobody else pays almost double what it’s worth.

That's not bad. I understand being upset about paying 800 vs 500 but that isn't bad quality it's them trying a product and it working and them charging more for their time trying and making sure compatibiliy that's capitalism

yep sure am. I’d rather have a long tube intake and the same throttle body for same price as just eps throttle body. Trying to save everyone else the hassle

I'd think a tune is still required since its a 3" diameter.

2008 maxima is the year. And I’m not sure if a tune is required, but prob recommended. Lots of amazing tuners on the forums.

If it was me, without question I would try and tune as soon as your can.

Pretty much! But I’m not a tuner lol. Plenty of great tuners that would be glad to talk and give accurate advise. I would tune immediately if possible.

Also 70mm is around 2.75 inches. Still around 1/4 inch smaller on both sides than 3 inch

thats true, 80mm is closer to 3”. Good catch on that

I pulled this fromThe370z.com thread by jucinjake;

”id also like to make it clear that EPS has a pending DESIGN AND UTILITY patent filed for these plates. Nisformance has a pending patent on their adapter harness. we teamed up to provide this kit to the community and intend to jointly defend it. anyone who is thinking about making/selling plates that bolt 70 or 75mm throttle bodies to these engines, or an adapter harness for this purpose, will in fact, be in violation of either one, or both, patents when they are finally approved. do this, and i guarantee that you will be seeing at least one of us, and our lawyers, in court.”

Eps big bore TB's - Page 7 - Nissan 370Z Forum

I’m not sure how extensive the patent is and what it applies to, but just wanted to put this out there in case it gets legally bad.

I’m all for a cheaper option for sure. And would be down to buy a set locally.
