Help Borla exhaust - HFC or RHFC?
Borla exhaust - HFC or RHFC?
I just snagged a good deal on a slightly used Borla catback exhaust and wanted to install it with new cats all in one swoop.
Does anyone have an example of what this exhaust would sound like with resonated high flow cats? I've tried searching all over but only found examples of it paired with non-resonated cats.
Would resonated cats greatly reduce that deep growl that this exhaust is known for? Having a hard time deciding. I don't want to lose the sweet Borla sound, but I also don't want to experience a ton of drone/rasp and making people's ears bleed.
Any help, sound examples, or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Get resonated if price isn't an issue. Aftermarket resonators don't directly restrict the air pathway, they just change how the air reverberates within the exhaust pipe by having mesh/perforated texture within.
The VQ is pretty prone to rasp/drone when you change the stock cats. I need to install an additional resonator to combat the rasp/drone from my exhaust, even though I have ART pipes with the built in resonator. So i would take any opportunity to increase resonance in your exhaust.
