I am trying to remove the driver's side OEM exhaust manifold, that seems to be obstructed by the steering column. Is this a known problem and I have to remove it? If so, does anyone know how to remove the steering column? I removed both of the bolts for the column; but, it still will not budge.

 

Make sure u mark it or when you reinstall steering will be off.

 

I found the instructions on the removal of the lower steering shaft in the FSM, page 26 of the steering section.
