Exclamation What Exhaust???

I have a 2011 G37x stock and Im planning to get exhaust. I want to start little like just axle back or just straight pipes. Im new to all this so I just want to make sure I get my money worth.

There's obviously all types of combos you can do but the most common I've seen on the forum are:

A) Axle back

B) Cat Back

C) Custom exhaust (un-popular from my experience reading)

Pending your model, options may be limited. AWD models seem to have a more limited market while the RWD models have multiple options. Most exhaust models offer a Y-pipe design but you can also do an X-pipe and straight pipes if custom route is taken.

*Disclaimer* X-pipe may be offered by a name brand exhaust distributor - I just don't remember ever seeing it.

Beyond just an exhaust, you can run either test pipes or a high flow cat. Test pipes will yield the most power but your car will experience a raw gas like smell. You also run the risk of a CEL but a tune can take care of that for you.
