the honeycomb inside the cats went bad or something. when i m stopped and start to accelerate it rattles/rasps. you can really hear it in a drive thru.
But when the cats were good it sounded beautiful. I might pick up some Z1 HFC since they are cheaper and throw them on since i did the RHFC not too long ago and the bolts wont be too bad this time around.
Are you getting the vibration at idle as mentioned earlier in the thread? I've been considering the same mod but debating between that or the intake first.....

Resonated anything that close to the header is prone to breaking apart due to heat. Basic HFC are designed to take that kind of heat however the fiberglass in the res i dont believe can take it so it teara apart causing the rattle

Interesting info, but I hope not. I still got my stock cats for just incase.
8 months later, I'm still happy. Now with the Stillen Gen3 after 3 month and over 4k miles with no rain issues I'm even happier. Did few revs at 6kRPM;
