Drone w/ ART pipe+Top Speed - 2.5" y pipe?
Sup guys,
So I've had my ART pipes and top speed y-back combined with a 3" generic Y pipe for a while now for full bolt-ons. Problem is, I get quite a bit of drone at highway speeds. I can tolerate it but on long drives (1+hrs) it starts to get to me.
I'm thinking this could be because the 3" y-pipe connects to the 2.5" top speed midpipe - naturally causing airflow disruption. You guys think I should swap out the y-pipe? or something else?
I think the only 2.5" y pipe around is the Top Speed y-pipe, haven't seen Exhaust Depot active in ages.

A good muffler shop may be able to fab a 3" transition to your TopSpeed midpipe, might be worth looking at that option too.
And then there's the ultimate Y-pipe, the Motordyne XYZ, and w/ the resonator you'd probably have a much better sound

Yeah I'll keep an eye out for that one but it's gonna be super hard to find. And I was also looking at the XYZ pipe too.. maybe I could source a used one for a good deal.
Seems like ever since I've got the ART pipes its been causing me to continuously tinker with the exhaust lol. The sound was perfect with just the Top Speed.
