What next? Hi Flow Cats or CAI/R2C?

It's been about a month since I installed my Ark exhaust. What do you guys think I should shoot for next? Hi Flow Cats or an Intake (Cold Air Intake or an R2C short ram)?

HFC you'll notice a big difference once they're replaced

I would trust chuckie. He has data to probably back up claims but what is $/hp ratio and which is the best Berk like you have? Would you recommend them today or something else?

Yeah I had a feeling I'd get better performance with HFC. I was thinking of Berk HFC instead of test pipes so I don't have to worry about inspection issues here in Texas.

Yeah I noticed his signature modifications. I would also like to know what he recommends for HFC.

I've never had someone check out under my car for a visual cat in Texas. I've been registered in Houston and San Antonio before.

It can vary county by county, but here in Dallas they do an emissions test and put a sensor in your tailpipe and you will fail with test pipes.

edit: in these counties they do emissions testing https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/vi...nCriteria.aspx

I did the cold air intake 6-8 months ago and got a noticeable difference. I just did the fast intentions high flow cats and noticed a much bigger difference, although they are a pain in the *** to install. The cold air intakes you can do yourself in a couple hours tops.

Oh ok. So I shouldn't even have to worry about it all? I'm in Houston.

I'm gonna go with HFC. Don't wanna take a chance on failing inspection.

They do not put anything in your tail pipe for OBD2 emissions testing here in texas.

They only do tail pipe emissions test for obd1 vehicles years 91-95. These vehicles must be driven on a dyno to simulate a load, unless they are awd which will require holding the rpm at a certain range while in neutral.

For OBD2 vehicles all they do is hook up a cord to your DTC connector and as long as all your emission monitors are "ready" than you are good.

I did state inspections from 2012-2014
