IDK why it's such a PITA (and it is, no doubt), but if you look at every pic of OEM cats on the G/Z, you'll see one of the three bolts is not actually a bolt, per se.

And 4DRZ... which Nissan/Infiniti product has a transversely mounted VQ37?
Sorry, I was referring to the VQ engine in general which is transversely mounted in the Altima, Maxima, Murano, Quest, and Pathfinder

I don't blame you. It was a royal PITA so I just figured I would do cats w/ headers later.

Ok, so I will definitley wait until I do the cats then.

Ok, that makes more sense

I like my z1 plenum on mine. That's all I got for you, haven't had the other one. I only went with z1 because it's local to me here in Georgia........no regrets on it power is nice up top but wouldn't mind more mid range power either.

Anybody have a z1 plenum that doesn’t have the z1 logo on the top? Mine doesn’t? Anybody else with me?

Maybe the logo is a new thing. Mine had it when I got it earlier this year. It is just adhesive holding it on so I am sure you could get the logo if you want for the "bling" factor. I took the engine cover off in hopes that more heat would get out, but the logo does make the intake plenum look a little less generic on its own

I’ll just have to find out after I put in the throttle bodies, it should be obvious if it’s ported right? Look all rough?

Oh, you are trying to figure out if yours has the Z1 intake plenum? Probably pretty unlikely, especially with Stillen intakes.

But you are right, if you look inside the ports you can tell it has been sanded away. It would not be that tough to do if you were really patient and had a steady hand. They really do not remove that much material.
