Stillen gen 3 CAI install 2011x sedan 7at

Hey guys thought I share few pictures of my Gen 3 CAI install.

All I can say is, if all you do is wash your car. Have someone that works on cars or take it to a shop and do it.

Install isn't as easy as I expected to be, lot of stuff needs to be removed, including the bumper which has ton on screws. I don't have electrical tools and my car is dropped. I didn't have it on jack stands, was pain to remove the bottom screws that hold the bumper in place. Also I never removed bumper nor I looked up any guides.

I had to borrow reciprocating saw to enlarge original intake brackets so the new tubes could fit thought it. Everything was very tight, I almost thought I had wrong parts send.

I ended up reusing original intake clamps, since they fit nicely over throttle body.

Car sound very nice and you can feel bit more power. Well worthy upgrade.

Yeah but the sense of accomplishment and immediate gratification of that sound/butt dyno are so worth the work of DIY

Indeed jroyalty7.

Whole process took me around 3-4 hours. I also replaced my rear break pads.
I run out of time to replace spark plugs, clean throttle body and install grounding kit I pieced together.

Thats my next DIY.

Glad you got it installed but might want to research whatever mod it is that your thinking about or buying. Everything you mentioned has been brought up about 1737499737 times when it comes to the stillen CAI and it would have prob helped prep you prior to. None the less when I installed mine I thought it was extremely easy, aside from having to enlarge the support holes, but the dremel made quick work of that. Any how, enjoy the new mod....it was the first mod I ever did on mine and to this day is still on of my favorites.
