Best SRI? Getting rid of Takeda

Hello all,

After terrible customer experience with afe, I am going to go ahead and remove my newly installed takeda CAI.

I was banking on the splash shield fitting and it sadly did not.

So, I am now looking for the best option for SRI since I am that concerned with water.

I have searched, I may go with the takeda SRI instead. Just looking for opinions.

Also, if anyone is in the market for a takeda intake with about 50 miles on it let me known

Check out the Stillen gen2's. The filters are closed off from all the engine heat. No cutting needed. Just got mine 3 days ago.

Stock photo from Stillen.

Did you happen to get around to installing it?

If you aren't doing Stillen CAI or Takeda CAI, you could just return it to stock intakes and add K&N Drop in Filters.

I m so sorry the Takeda did not go well with splash shield on your car. I did install myself the Takeda with spash shield but have no issue with fitment at all. (No cutting or anything on the shield)

I'm researching intakes for my 37 sedan now. What is the typical real hp increase going from stock to k&n filters only, short ram, short ram insulated, and cold air? Any good dyno charts for these. Thanks.

R2C is the way to go and the install is extremely easy. Sounds great also. I recently uninstalled it to put on the Takeda so if you're looking for it its only got 7000 miles on it.

I haven't installed them yet. And going back to your post about the axle back. I have tanabe now. I just recently also added FI RHFC. Pm me your number we can talk cars all day bro. Lol. And I'll be more than glad to send pics of the quality and install process, and sound clips of the exhaust along the way.

I'll take that Takeda off your hands! I currently have a Stillen Gen3 but prefer the cleaner look of the Takeda setup.

Best SRI is the OEM intake. Don't waste your money.

How about a hybrid of this??? Z1/moshimoto/hps post maf tubes with drop in filters? I'm running this currently. And it's great!

FYI. Those aren't the exact filters for our G's. That's just a reference photo.
