Red face K&N Typhoon

After reading all I can on the site...if you don't care about the sound is it worth installing a K&N Typhoon or just opt for a low restriction air filter replacement? At the end of the day there are just as many plus and minus to cancel each other out. You thoughts please.

The OEM filters w/ factory intake is an efficient setup, if you want a bit more show in the engine bay, and a growl at WOT over 3k rpm then they'd be worthwhile.

But for bringing clean air into your motor you're already winning w/ the OEM setup

Welcome to the site BTW!

All depends on what you want. If you want it for looks i say go for it. If you want it for power, I also say go for it as long as you realize you wont get anything close to the gains they claim. If you want it for just efficiency i say the oem setup is the way to go.

Thumbs up Went for it

I went for it and really like the looks and sound. Not sure if the power is there or if it's placebo effect.
