Fully understand why people who are looking for the very best performance would go with one of the several good CAIs. That ain't me!

I have the same and I live them. Kyle at Import Parts Pro gave me the best deal and their customer service is second to none.

 

I just installed my R2C intake with the Black Hex filters today. I can't wait to road test. Black nickel is in stock if you go directly to the R2C site.

Despite the post/chart that shows the air being taken in - at speed - isn't that hot, I'm not sure why people keep calling this a WAI. CAI may be cooler at idle but you're still right in front of the radiator that is bleeding of heat. Also if all your gains with the CAI are around 7K, does it really do you that much good? I'm in JC/NYC area and I rarely get to rev that high - I'd rather have gains in the usable range like OP.

I think I'll be installing a Meisterschaft exhaust next. That should really get the jaywalkers out of the street when I have a green light.
