Stillen Gen 3 install
I didn't see a DIY for the Stillen Gen 3. Is there one?
I have a few questions:
1. When I've modified the rad support with larger holes, how would this affect going back to the stock air boxes?
2. Is it customary to seal the gap between the CAI tubes and the holes in the rad support?
3. When you put on the rain shield, does this affect airflow to both the air filters or radiator? If so, please let me know if it's insignificant or a consideration to keep in mind.
4. How long have the AEM dry filters been an option for the Stillen Gen 3? Is anyone running these? Thoughts?

Front bumper off, have a dremal to sand down enough room for the tubes to go through. Make your you adjust the driver side upwards more or as high as you could before the piping makes contact with your hood. Reason being is to agoid the rattle it gets from anyone trying to do a snug install. So once you have the driver side installed properly of now rattle or what not then align the passenger side. Thats pretty much some tips i can offer. I am running dry filters atm to. No issues had the intake installed since late sept / early oct.
The holes in the rad support you can use double sided foam tape and stick them on where there looks like there can be contact. As for the rainshield I've never had it on and I've driven in heavy rain/snow for a a little over a year now and no problem. I've attached some youtube videos that helped me out when installing mine since i'm a complete noob when it comes to working on cars.
AEM filters been there for a while now, personally i wud stick with old K&n filters ( rx4990 ). And no, there wud be no problem going back to stock setup. As for the splash sheild, it won't restrict airflow ( if any you wouldn't even notice it ) .

K&n been always a winner in terms of airflow compared to other competitors.

In other words, I wish they had swapped filters around for the same tubes (short or long) rather than comparing two completely different intakes.
Maybe I'll ping Stillen and see if they have any data on the performance difference between the two options.
EDIT:
I spoke to Kenny at Stillen and he told me that both were dyno'd and both produce the same horsepower. He said it's up to me which filter technology I want to go with and suggested that I call K&N and speak with someone, then ask to be transferred to their AEM division and talk to someone there.
