mxp or fast intentions

Hey guys, wanted to get opinions from people with either of these exhausts. Trying to do a direct comparison between the fast intentions exhaust vs the mxp exhaust. I have done some research on this forum as well as some others and there aren't a whole lot of direct comparison between the two.

I currently have the ARK exhaust and absolutely love it and the sound it makes. Problem is my car is lowered and i scrape EVERYWHERE. So want the same type of sound/look but more practical.

I personally like the look of the MXP better but i like the sound of fast intentions better. I am also reading a lot more info about the fast intentions and cant find a whole lot about MXP. Have heard nothing but good news about fast intentions. So again, if you guys can help me out with stories of your personal experience I would appreciate it. Thanks.

p.s. any leads on where to get these used would be much appreciated.

i have mxp exhaust with a FI RHFC on a 2008 g37s coupe and it sounds great..its a little bit louder than the FI but not obtrusive..at highway speeds above 80 mph you can really hear it bark..at lower speeds its really not loud 60/70 mph speeds. my original setup was MXP EXHAUST and BERK HFC..really loud..a bit to much for my taste, and a little bit of drone at low RPMS unless you decide to drive in drive shift mode all the time, the drone gets really old and a bit annoying in full AUTO MODE.SO TO EACH HIS OWN..mxp+ FI RHFC just beautiful , heard nothing but great thing about Fast Intentions and their RHFC REALLY QUIETED down my MXP exhaust to where i love driving with the windows down just to hear the exhaust note.in short you need to listen to both setups and also take into consideration stock cats/ HFC/ and resonated HFC.makes a big difference in sound.

I can say that I have seen and heard a 350Z and a G37 with the MXP exhaust and it sounded terrible. Raspy, drony, and burbbles like a cheap throw on replacement muffle. FI makes solid products and I have not read or heard a complaint about them yet.

(Please, no offense to the MXP guy)

Why on earth would you change out an ARK exhaust for either of the two other exhuasts. That's a down grade.....

My biggest complaint is the loud *** hiss on decel which I have talked about in many threads. Also, I have noticeable rasp on hard acceleration. Other that that though, the the FI cat/exhaust combo is pretty solid.

The FI exhaust by itself was problem free and fit like a glove, no rasp or drone and beautiful to boot. It just wasn't loud enough for my taste so I went with cats and while I like the added power/volume, I could do without the problems listed above.

Why on earth would you say the FI exhaust is a downgrade compared to the ark?

Yeah, that hiss is pretty common from what I have seen. I have it as well, but it doesn't really bother me.

I've heard and seen both exhausts on many G's at little car shows in S. Florida. IMO the ARK GRiP exhaust is only second to the Meissershaft (Big Money). I'm not saying FI is bad at all, just that the ARK system (although a little more costly) has a great tone and build quality to it. I haven't heard rasp out of any ARK systems that I personnaly have seen on our G's. I guess it's a preference thing. The ARK system is a bit louder than FI and could be TO loud for some who want to keep it a little more subdue / classy.

For the record there was 0 rasp on my FI catback when I had stock cats. It just wasn't loud enough for my needs. I was interested in the ark but honestly I did not like the look of it from the rear and heard fitment was not on point so I opted for the FI exhaust. Also, I heard more hp came from the FI and when it comes to exhausts and power I'll take what I can get. However, I still toy with the idea of dumping the cats or exhaust to try to something else to see if solves some of my sound woes. However, I love the fitment and butt dyno of the FI so maybe I'll just deal with it?

From what I have read the FI RHFC is the only cats replacement that does not cause rasp or hiss.
In my opinion...it's a better than OEM replacement in terms of sound and performance.

From what i've been able to find out the MXP wasn't designed to use with HFC or test pipes and can be raspy if paired with them. I have stock cats on my car and love my MXP, no rasp and no drone at all at 80-85 on the Hiway. The car WAILS when you run it hard thru the gears. You can find them new on ebay for around a grand.

My FI RHFC has hiss when decelerating but not always.

Mine don't..at least not paired with my ARK.

Do you have it paired with a catback? Because when I had them with the OEM catback, I also had hiss sometimes.

Wow, no hiss with the ark. Hmmm, the plot thickens.
