axleback install

I was trying to put on my axle-back mufflers yesterday and there are 4 bolts. I got 1 off on each pipe and i stripped 2 bolts. :X stupid me . I should've just wait till I had the right tools in the first place and did it. Now I cant even open the other 2 because of the stripped head. If i bring it to a muffler shop, will they be able to take off the bolt even if its stripped or they would have to cut the flange and put a new one on? Is the stud welded on where the axle-back connects to the y-pipe.

They'll probably either drill it out or put the torch to it or something along those lines. I doubt they would have to cut flange. For future reference, spray some wd40 on them a couple days ahead of time next time. Just let them soak and it should be a bit easier to take off.

Yeah man, I did spray wd-40 the day before..lol. Probably cause I had a bad angle and not enough leverage and just stripped it. -_- Thanks though man.

They should be able to grind the head off.
I could have installed mine but it was worth the $40 the shop charged me to NOT have to deal with it.
