Installed Gen 3 CAI

Well, I had stillen install their catback exhaust for me in California before shipping my car to korea. When it got here a couple weeks ago I was extremely happy with the sound and the perceived performance gain.

I had a local shop here in Pyeongtaek install my gen 3 intake I ordered.
The guy did a pretty good job on it, as he owns an M35 himself and also had a 350Z that he modded pretty heavily .

anyway, I reset the ECU and I've been testing it out.
I'm really liking the enhanced engine sound it makes when on the accelerator, but I feel like it's not as responsive or aggressive on the acceleration as it was before.

After the exhaust it really climbed through the gears aggressively with seemingly tons of power. After the intake it's like it has returned to stock performance. I know the intake is supposed to enhance it though. I've looked over the install and everything seems to be in order.

I'm guessing I probably need a tune to sort it out. The car is still really good, it's just not exactly what I was expecting.

I don't regret the install however, I just wish it was at least as aggressive as it was before it was installed.

I'll give an update after I get a tune.

I'm going to go with an uprev, and I'll need a remote tune seeing as how I'm in South Korea.

Anybody know any dealers that can work magic with an Etune for me?

Anytime you install anything like that you are going feel a lose. The OEM tune was tuned for the stock airbox.

If you like them keep them but get a tune for best A/F

after breather mods, you always need to give the car time to adjust -- even if you reset the car yourself. there's less restriction, and more oxygen requires more fuel. it might be the adjustment in climate - korea's hotter, and way more humid.

Made a quick vid just now.
Stillen CBE and Gen 3 intakes.
I swear it felt like it had more power b4 the Gen3 intakes though.
I am planning on some sort of tune as soon as I install some HFC.
