Gen 3 installed on the convertible finally!

Just installed the stillen gen 3 CAI on the new 'vert. I was nervous, but it came out great. The splash guards to prevent hydrolock and whatnot are a little lose, but that's it. Everything else fit great. Sounds amazing.

Thanks!! Man I was nervous. I had that issue with the automatic windows not working right when I reconnected the battery and started to sweat a little...then got on the site here and searched the problem...then BAM..thanks to the amazing forums..the windows were fixed in about a minute and a half.
My next adventure is adding a shallow mount JL sub to the compartment under the trunk divider. Hopefully lol.

What sub are you going with... W3 I hope. They will sound good with a shallow mount. W6 sounds so good in our car but you will need more air space and W7 is .... Woah.

I have the W6 in a custom box and I love it. perfect for all music from Rap to Christian Rock. Let me know what you choose

The sub that I'm thinking of going with is the JL 13TW5v2. With it needing only 2.6" of space...and that compartment below out convertibles divider as shallow as it is...maybe I can squeeze it in there and custom fit a box. The Amp I'm thinking of using is the JL HD600/4.
Talk is easy....making this stuff all actually work is going to be the difficult part.

@MrJCole......Does the box that you had custom made for your subs interfere with the convertible top operation?

I have a coupe... so no. But it is going to interfere with the Airlift Set up I just ordered so I think I am going to have to build something else. I made the boxes myself. Why are you going with a 4 Channel Amp? Are you powering more than the sub?

I bet that Airlift system is amazing. I'm wanting to power my subs as well as amp up the factory Bose speakers. Weirdest thing...when the radio is on, iPhone streaming pandora, or songs saved on my phone are playing through the Bose system, they sound pretty good at best...highs are ok, bass is tolerable, etc. Now if I have my iPhone plugged into the car and I open up YouTube and I play back a song or something and it has the "HD" option and I select the playback to be HD quality....the speakers SCREAM!!! The Bose subs in the doors hit HARD, highs scream, and it just sounds absolutely great. SO, I know the potential is there, but I just don't know how else to always have it available without choosing HD YouTube videos haha.
