R2c intake pass smog?

R2c intake pass smog?

So i am due for my first smog and i was wondering would i have to take out my r2c intakes and toss the oem ones back on just to pass smog???

It depends where you live. What state are you trying to get your car inspected in? In most states, the R2C intake is no problem, but in CARB required states, you might have a problem.

Oof, buddy. California is a CARB state, and the R2C is definitely not CARB Certified. It might not be a bad idea to put your stock airboxes on just to get it inspected.

Most of the bolt on mods here are off limits to us Californians.

Inspection stations here check to see if the cats and intake are stock.

ECU mods are interesting though...

Before I sold the G I had to get it smogged and had to take off the test pipes and my takeda CAI -_- Be careful if you have an exhaust too. It needs to have a cross section. Or just pay someone off to do it

California is probably the least mod friendly state. But yea definitely slap on the stock airboxes unless you want to take a gamble. My last car got smogged with an intake but I went to some seedy shop downtown right before they closed.
