Exhaust swap cost
Exhaust swap cost
Hey all, just a quick question on getting an exhaust swap between two G Sedans. How much is it to swap an Oem exhaust with Oem HFC's with an aftermarket exhaust and HFCs? I know it depends on which shop but what is the average price? Thanks in advance.
It depends on what exhaust you pick. Sedans are a little easier I think, since they don't have a single canister design. The hardest part of the removal/install will be taking the OEM cat bolts off. They are pure hell. A good shop, with good tools, and judicious use of torches to loosen bolts will probably take...3-4 hours of shop time, but that assumes everything goes nice and smoothly. It doesn't usually.
It's just a matter of quoting shop time then. In Houston, it's ~100 an hour.
Thank you for that sir! I was laughing when I saw I typed that, I mean oem cats. It was early morning. It will be a top speed exhaust, that was offered on the group buy a few months ago with the jagged tips.
No such thing as "OEM HFC's". I'm just gonna assume you're asking for a quote on a full header back exhaust. (Cats, y pipe, midpipe, muffler/canisters, tips)

Mine was installed in a little over an hour. So it cost me $120. I think it could have been faster because it was a new car and i dont believe that the bolts had to soak to get them off but I didn't feel like doing it so I just forked over the money.
