What is this vibrating noise from my FAST INTENTIONS CF exhaust? Please HELP!

I love this exhaust. I have the Carbon Fiber Canister with new X pipe with 18" resonator. I have this noise, Its around the 1-2K RPM when on the gas. It vibrates or sounds like a loose part or something by the right Door area of the Coupe pillar or lower part of door by subwoofer or underneath that area? Sounds like a sub-woofer hitting a metal sheet instead or paper or harmonic frequency vibrating something inside. I have to go back to the mechanic to install the Heat Wrap that FI is sending me. I wonder whats causing this vibration on that side only and goes away once I pass the 2K RPM. Awkward thing is that I didn't have to cut the Heat Shield on the rear of the passenger to clear the canister. The canister clear with no cutting involved. It has like a 3/4 inch space clearance between the canister and the heat shield, I wonder if thats the cause of the vibration?? Because the instructions say Cut the heat shield to clear canister? The mechanic just removed the EVAP canister Cover and all good to go. Lets see and hopefully I can find out whats the cause of the vibration. This sound is just in that spot, before removing my OEM exhaust I had no noises, no rattles or in this cases seems to be vibrations. Please somebody help!

Tony and his team are excellent in customer service and helping out their customers who own Fast Intentions. I have to do some homework, but knock on wood, seems to be that my exhaust was installed incorrectly. It is IMPERATIVE that you install it correctly. Remove Evap Canister Cover, if needed trim, if not bend that little heat shield away from the canisters. Next the lead pipes connect to the catalyic converter in my case, look for the dot/s on the flanges. One dot is driver side and 2 dots is passenger, those dots have to facing toward the ground and connect directly to the catalyic converter. Next HANG the canisters on their rubber mounts, next remove brace and put up X-Pipe, re-install brace. Then you can start to tighten up the bolts from front to back. In my case the lead pipes were installed properly, but the X-pipe was attached to the canisters on the ground and lifted up and fed through the cross brace while One guy held it up, the canisters were attached to the rubber hangers and then tighten up everything. This can lead to a lot Issues. So I have to go back and check where the Issue is. Tony advised to check while the exhaust it warm, put back on the lift. And check for Heat Shields, Cross Brace, Drive Clamp not touching the sway bars anything that could make that noise. Also advised me to lightly tap with Wood preferable instead of rubber mallet tap the resonators on the X-pipe and Tips and see if anything rattles. Perhaps the Cross Brace is touching the X-pipe, advised to add washers to clear more space for it. I learned something new that in colder weather like NJ the exhaust system is about 20% louder than your typical spring/summer weather.

Thanks Tony for all your help! Hopefully this is the problem and would let you know what the verdict is when I go back to the mechanic.

Wow, you summed up our last few emails and phone conversation today in one large paragraph. One way or another, I will do my best to help you get to the bottom of it. Being that the system was purchased used, it does make my job somewhat harder not knowing the exact condition you received the exhaust in. Nevertheless, weather it is an installation error or faulty resonator, we will nail it down.

Thanks, Tony

Hey marcelo, did you find a solution to this problem? I just had my FI SS exhaust installed last week and I have the same problem that you have. I checked to see if there were any loose nut/screws but no luck.
