Motordyne Intake Manifold vs Stock intake manifold

Okay so question i have is, how could you tell between the two from looking at them in person? I have a friend that bought a 2008 g37 from auction and has some aftermarket parts on it that im willing to take off and i was wondering if there was a way to tell if it had the motordyne m370 intake manifold on it. I tried looking at pics and only difference i see is the metal plate thats on the motordyne ontop. Havent seen one in person but is it possible it may not have that plate to make it look "stock"? Could really use the help, wondering if theres anything i can look for that can seperate one from another and will know right away.

Thanks

The steel plate is required with the M370 and therefore will always be on.
