Upgrade Tanabe Mid and Y pipe causes rattling sound??

Hi everyone,

Just like I mentioned above, I ve just finished replacing the stock pipes with tanabe Mid and Y pipes to complete the full system. However, I heard really annoying sound right under passenger seat. The sound is loudest when I m going from 2000-3000rpm and i don't know what could cause the noise.. If I go faster 60-70 , this rattling sound is gone but it comes back as My feet is off pedal. I have a feeling that vibration causing either y or mid pipe possibly touching something or could it be resonator ? I just bought it brand new from a vendor here.

Has anyone experienced something like this please help me? This rattle really makes my car sound like s****.

Have you looked to see if anything is touching?

I think I found out where the sound s coming frome.. I saw the right side of of Y pipe s touching the black metal above it ( I don't know what it s called though.) I prayed it with screw drive and there is a 1-2 mm gap which is enough space for these 2 parts causing the rattle. Then I put a piece of carton paper btw them and the sound is gone , but the sound is back now I think vibration has caused the paper slipping out of place. Maybe I should look for a piece of rubber and wrap that area.

If it the exhaust the paper may get to hot and the rubber with problly melt. You may want to try to loosen the exhaust and try to move it away from the metal.

I actually had the issue resolved. I used the header wrap and wrap around that area ( wish I could have got it from someone a small section cause that thing is 50 bucks and all I needed was 2 feet long.) now the noise is gone and I can enjoy the tone of the exhaust. Thanks everyone.

How much louder does it get inside the cabin with the Tanabe Y-pipe and mid pipe added
relative to the stock exhaust with Tanabe mufflers?
