7 out of a 10

Ok, the long and short of the new exhaust. On our 2013 G37S

Like I said before my wife had 08 G,and and at that time we went with the Fast Intentions exhaust, it was a great, great exhaust, and I should have pulled it off when we traded the car it in, But we didn't, mistake on my part. We did call FI and the back log on a new exhaust was just to long of a wait.

Ok,,, were past that, we wanted an exhaust so we listened to some on youtube and ended up going with Magnaflow,,, our first thought was Stillen,,because of the sound, nice and deep but because of the rust issues we heard of and read that turned us off.

So now the Magnaflow, I will give it a7 out of a 10, it took us about 3 hours to do it on the ground with only a floor jack and stands, Fit and Finish is good, not great, good and it took a lot of muscle to square it up, and its still not 100%,no matter how we moved it around the tail pipes are not perfect and I will have to bring it to a muffler shop and have them weld them on, reason being, where they mount the hanger bracket get in the way, so u can't push it in far enough and they need to be 100% sticking outthe back.

As far a sound I would say 7-8 out of a10,,, its a completely different sound then the FI, hands down FI are better sounding. We have 30 days to return them, so will see how itgoes, we will give them some time to break in, and take it from there,,,

Silly Question? Why the MagnaFlo? In CA I see and I mean I see a lot of them selling on CL all the time Cheap! $500 2days new was the last one I seen... Ive always wondered why? Had them on my Truck .. never a car though ...seeing them on CL that often shunned me away from them and went with a MXP... ..
But OP good luck...

Fast Intentions is worth the wait when it comes to fit/finish/sound/customer service/price/etc. Should have waited if you're only 7/10 for happiness and had to modify it just to have it fit correctly.

I have the same catback, and the same opinion. My right tip is about 1" more out than the left tip. Can't tell unless you stand right above the rear bumper. I think a huge plus to this exhaust is that it looks 100% stock. Can't say the same about the FI or most others that I've seen. It's up to you if this matters at all.

Do you get a slight rasp when going WOT?

In what way is the sound different from the FI?

Magnaflo, Borla and Flowmaster only sound good on domestic V8's.

Glad you're happy w/ the fit, and agree about the Magnaflow tips, they've got an upscale look. In for pics when you can.
