Damaged FI Exhaust

I scraped the CF portion of my mufflers today. Does anyone know if the CF can just be switched out. It looks like they just wrap a sheet over the metal. Thanks

The CF canister will need to be fully replaced if you want a new muffler. This happened to me long ago and my only option was this. I say just leave as is unless you are willing to buy a new muffler. Maby Tony has new options these days, call him up.

Were your canisters just wrapped? Mine seem like they have a wrap around the
muffler held in by either rivets or screw, and in the middle of the rivet it looks like an allen key might go in there. The damage is really small and not noticeable unless yur under the car. So if its not an easy fix I will mostl likely leave it

Honestly I don't believe it's a wrap, I went through this exact thing. My scrape was not noticeable unless you are under the car, I say just leave it.

Why does it matter how bad the damage is? There is damage thats all im concerned about. I keep my car in pristine condition and pride myself on it, and now its not pristine any more and if I can fix it within reasonable means I will. I was just looking for help and when I couldn't reach Tony I turned to the forum.
