Alternatives to Borla exhaust?

Looking for an exhaust system for my car...don't want anything high pitched or raspy. I love the deep, throaty rumble sound of the Borla exhaust but not a fan of the price tag. Is there anything else on the market that comes close to the Borla sound?

I've read that the Ark system sounds great but I'm not a fan of the rainbow colored tips and mufflers that hang so far down. Also I want to avoid any systems that have a bad drone at low rpms. I really like the stock sound but I just wish it was louder/deeper.

Thanks in advance for any input and suggestions.

So keep the stock exhaust and buy some HFC's!

Re: HFCs...I thought they made the exhaust sound raspier and higher pitched...is that not true? Or are they only raspy and high pitched when paired with certain aftermarket exhausts? If that's not true, and they'd give the sound I'm looking for, what are some good brands to look into?

Re: IPL exhaust...I've read (on here) that for as much as the IPL costs, it doesn't make a big enough difference over the stock exhaust. Is the IPL axleback a direct bolt on to non-IPL cars...or does all the piping need to be changed as well?

FWIW, I already have the R2C intake

Wow! Just stumbled across this...best price I've ever seen for the Borla exhaust...I may have to jump on this...

Borla 140260 08+ Infinity G37 Cat-Back Exhaust (VQ37VHR)

That's the right system for my car right??? Is there anything I'm missing...that's about $400-$500 cheaper than any other retailer

They can't even spell Infiniti right, you expect them to deliver?

And besides, Borla's not the best sounding on our cars either

I know a lot of guys recommend the FI CBE, but I can't find a good audio clip of a stock exhaust and just the FI CBE (without hfc, test pipes, etc). Like I said, I want something deeper and louder than stock at low rpms. The stock exhaust note is nice but you only hear it at higher rpms or at WOT. Don't get me wrong, I don't want anything totally obnoxious while I'm cruising around...just some rumble. I don't like raspy, high pitched, can of angry bees exhaust sound. Avoiding drone as much as possible is probably most important for me.

I'm kind of in the same boat too. I've checked out vids for the Fujitsubo CBE or the Invidia Gemini CBE. Those may be more of what you're looking for. There's also the Fujitsubo (factory sport) axleback.

I just went in a completely different direction lol...just ordered FI resonated HFCs. I decided I'd give the HFCs a try and then add a catback later if the HFCs don't give me the sound I'm looking for. Was initially gonna go the Berk HFC and Borla route, but a lot of reviews said that Berks are much raspier than the FI RHFCs so I decided against them.

If I were to do it again, I would go with the FI catback with 18" resonators.
Not too quiet, not too loud, just right!!
