Motordyne Shockwave TDX ... Countdown begins !!!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen !!

I just wanted to quickly update everyone on the progress of Motordyne CBE.
Spoke to Tony this evening and currently they are testing the prototype and there have been some change in plans. Earlier, they were going to go with the extension route (remember Nismo CBE and G35 days???) .. But apparently Tony’s not happy with the outcome and he is working on making a one piece exhaust for our cars.

ETA – End of April or Early May …. the exhaust goes on sale

I had the TDX v1 on my previous G coupe and I loveddd the sound of it. Absolutely no drone or hiss … Found a video here on the forum where this guy has custom fitted the exhaust from a G35 on G37. Already sounds amazing

https://www.myg37.com/forums/intake-...ml#post3355573

I personally can't wait for this exhaust to be on my car ... wait will kill me for sure

What have you got to share about your Shockwave on your old G35???? Who's waiting on this exhaust??

Didn't ask him that question ... but i think it will be like mid 1000 like the one for 370Z ... it's essentially the same exhaust but different fitting ...
Did you previously own this exhaust?

Currently an introductory price of $1685 ($200 off) for the full polished Enthusiast edition including 2 sets of tips of your choice (one 4.5" one 5"). The Track edition, (one set of 4.5" tips, not full polished stainless) is listed at $1585. These prices are for the 370Z version. I don't know if the G27 variant will be any different.

I hope to be one of the first to have it. I've spoken to Tony about it quite a bit over the past couple months. The last time we spoke he said that he would produce a version with integrated cats as well. I'm looking to pair it with the ART pipes and the M370 manifold. It'll be interesting to see what gains there are to be had in regular form and with a tune.

Thanks for adding all the info man !! Much appreciated ....

Integrated cats/ART sounds like a cherry on top of this excellent sounding exhaust ... can't wait for the final updates ... hope its soon

Let us know if you hear anything at your end Jeremy

Guys ... Motordyne has a new website now Welcome to MotorDyne Engineering and according to Tony the information there is most up to date. They have their own discussion forum as well ...

Trust me ... TDX sounds exotic ... won't get anyone's hopes up cause the sound liking is completely subjective ... but this exhaust is top notch in build quality and has no drone or hiss, which for me, is a win-win !!

HKS is JDM ... supposed to be good ... i wanted to get it too when i had my G35 but then i saw this guy's experience

Why I Will Never Buy Another HKS Product Ever - G35Driver

It's a great sounding exhaust hands down and maybe this guy did get a bad one ... but it did scare me !!! I wanted to spend a good chunk on the exhaust as i love them and quality mis-haps like these was something i was never gonna tolerate !!

Went with TDX v1 ... couldn't have been happier !! Butt dyno definitely felt the extra power ... and did i mention ... absolutely no hiss

I heard this on a 35 with FI TPs and it was almost V8 sounding. I love my FI CF CB but I may switch to this.

There's a group buy thread to get it at a good price. Throw it on there with some ART pipes and have great sound plus no rasp and no drone.
