Takeda Intake Owners

I really like my intake but the one thing that has always bothered me us the cheap couplers an oversized elbows .. The easy fix was ordering some eBay 2.75 4 ply throttle body couplers .. Easy fix ... The aggravating part was the elbows.. Have No idea about this design .. It's a reducer elbow coupler with one end way oversized .. Seems like this is causing turbulence in readings an possible lower dyno numbers .. Will post some more later .. I did find a fix and will have to post more later ... Getting a haircut ..

What ever happened with this? I just installed the Attack CAI intake and I actually feel a LOSS of power. Im wondering if I need reset my computer. I see people talking about tunes but I have no idea what that entails. Did this happen to you as well, bro?

I think after installing the intake you have to do some kinda tuning.

Thanks bro. What does that entail though? What is "tuning"?

You will feel a change in response while the car is still adapting to the higher air flow. You can reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative. But after a few hundred miles the ecu will adapt. Tuning is not needed. However you will always get more hp by running a custom tune such as uprev, but it's always better to do so after you have finished with all your bolt ons. You can contact uprev or go to an authorized dealer for that.

How is the intake holding up, and what was the fix you incorporated to get it to fit better? And did you tune your engine after in any way, or just let the ECU and time take care of that?
