Just installed Stillen Gen 3s + FI RHFC and my oh my the POWER!!! This car is running damn good and the sound now is rediculous lol, I LOVE IT....

 

Diego...since you've had both, what's ur take on the resonated vs non-resonated CBE? I already have the resonated HFCs...went with the resonated version to avoid any rasp or drone. Will the non-resonated CBE increase the chance of drone/rasp? I'm torn between the 12" resonated CBE exhaust vs the unresonated CBE.

Also can you give your opinion on the CF vs SS versions? I know the CF version is supposed to be louder...but is it worth the extra money...is it that noticeable of a difference?

Currently I have the RHFC with the 12s it's already deep as hell and guess what I still want more lol! I say if u don't mind it being loud and deep go non resonated but again I have not tried the non res. u will probably get slight drone but Definetly no rasp. CF are deeper and look sick as hell from rear, worth it I say yes! Stay 12s but go CF muflers. I'm very very happy with my set-up, lots of members heard my car in person and some said that driving behind me they could feel the bass in their chest lol. It's plenty loud and deep honestly, going non res Catback would be sick also... LMK what you decide, I really would love to go non res X pipe but I'm happy as is. I almost wanted to go Res TP for added sound but like I said it already sounds super good.

 

Sorry to bring this one back from the dead but I am looking to get the 12inch resonated CBE with resonated test pipes and a a little worried that it will be too loud and possibly boarder on obnoxious. Has anyone tried this setup yet? If so, how does it sound?

 

That will be loud for sure! My 12 inch catback was fairly loud even with RHFC, not obnoxious though but if i could do this again i would stick to 12 inch resonators with HFCs just to get a little louder. Im afraid RTP would be too much as well.

 

Definitely going to be on the louder side. If you want to keep the 12" resonator option in the x pipe than go with the resonated high flow cats. On the flip side if you go with the resonated test pipes and 18" resonated x pipe it will be quieter than what you are currently leaning towards.

I have a 09 G37 AWD sedan. I don't want a lot of noise but want added power. My wife is worried about the noise for the baby. I installed stillen Gen 3 intakes. What else can I do for more power and still pass inspection?

 

I know this is an old thread but I just purchased the Fast Intention Exhaust and reading this review just made me go crazy! I can't wait for my FI's to get here, aaargh
