Made custom intakes still in R&D but good progress. . .

Ok so I decided that we should make some custom intakes seeing as though I have dyno access, etc. . .

I started with adding some Injen Short Rams and made 10HP over stock just to get an idea of what aftermarket companies offered as far as HP, We then fabricated some cold airs and went on the same dyno (please excuse the blue 45 degree coupler) Next week the 45 degree couplers will be replaced by 3" piping and welded. . . We also did a run with the top half of cold air at 3" and didnt see as much of a gain as with 2.75" for upper half and 3" on lower half. . .

Finally we say a 25 WHP increase over stock and 15 WHP increase over Injen short rams. . . Will dyno again when couplers are gone and is all piping we are debating if we should mass produce these as we are seeing good results so far. . .

Final numbers 306.34HP

That dyno shows custom vs Injen, correct? No stock dyno?

What's the AFR?

Cool

Please include dyno conditions for both runs:

Barometric Pressure
Relative Humidity
Ambient Air Temperature
Inlet Air Temperature
Same gear both runs?
Heat soak times for engine
A:F ratios
Correction factor (SAE, etc. if used)

Otherwise the dyno readings are just pretty colored lines on the screen. Thanks!

Yes this is Injen vs Custom I'll upload a graph of stock tomorrow inhave to print it... They where 4th gear pulls on all runs, I'll upload specifics in the morning when I get home.... Regardless those pretty colored lines show an increase but I do understand why you are asking...

Being the devil's advocate here!!

Whats you AFR? Are you running lean, that gives HP, but burns valves.

Then, if you mass produce and sell these, you'll need one unique piece of technology, separating you from Stillen, to keep them from filing a cease and desist during the middle of your production.

very skeptical about those HP numbers. I just cant imagine an intake making that much power gain
