Exhaust Noise

Hello All-

I am interested in buying a G37S or IPL manual trans...love all about both cars, kinda deciding between the 2. Only thing I don't like is the noise when accelerating that I think is coming from the exhaust. Most people probably love the sound but I don't. Does anyone know if I can change the exhaust pipe to make the car quieter, are the tunes coming strictly from the exhaust pipe. I drive a lot, and would prefer quiet. With the larger pipes on the IPL and the tuned engine would it be more difficult to quiet the IPL instead of the G37 Sport??

Thanks for any help you can provide.

A somewhat louder exhaust is actually helpful when driving a manual. You get a better connection to the throttle. Not only are you feeling it through your foot, but hearing it too.

My shifting on the bike actually improved when I got the louder exhaust because I knew exactly when the throttle was coming on. With the super quiet bazooka launcher, that brief instant between off throttle and on throttle was hard to detect.

Yes, that exhaust is at least 2 1/2' long.
