How long should you change it? I'd say about 3-5 minutes. Unless you wanna hang out with your car a little longer I guess...

Nice 2008 Journal BTW

Oh, nevermind... you were making an excited statement "How long should I change my air filter!" not asking a question. Disregard.

I just changed the air filters yesterday. Less than 2 minutes total for both sides. 3-5 minutes is exaggerated.

Isn't the air filter rectangular in shape... about 8-10" long? You can probably use a larger one, but the airbox may not close.

The manual may state that the air filters should be changed every 15,000 miles, but that covers all types of driving conditions. I doubt if I will have to change mine until at least 30,000 miles. It just takes a minute to remove the air filters and hold them up with a light bulb behind them. If you can easily see the light looking through the filter, they are not clogged up enough to restrict the needed flow of air. No sense throwing away money if you don't have to.
