Intake / Exhaust for my '08 g37s

Hey Guys,

I'm about a month away from having my 08 g37s completely paid off... so now it's time to put money into making it scream since I get to free up nearly a grand a month

The 08 has been out for a while now. I know stillen has a good chunk of mods out for it now. My question is:

What's the best intake I can put in? What's the best exhaust I can put in? I've already swapped the catalytic converter to an aftermarket one so I'm set there. I plan on hanging on to this thing until the wheels fall off and am not opposed to eventually doing either the supercharger or turbo mod. So whatever I got, I would want it to be compatible with either of those two options.

Basically, wifey is asking me for Xmas gift ideas, and I want the opinion of some of you tuners.

Oh also, my tires are due for replacement and I'm still rocking the factory rims (19's) and the potenza re050a's.

What wheels/tires are everybody putting on their ****? Is everybody still going 19? Or are people swapping to 20's since 19's are typically more expensive?

Looks like it's the Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Intake from Stillen as the best intake for HP gain.

Intake: Stillen Gen3
Exhaust: I personally like HKS, but it really depends on how loud/deep you want.

I don't necessarily care too much about whether or not it's loud, or how it sounds. I care more about how much HP/Torque I would get out of it compared to others. From what I can tell, it's still Stillen with the best product?

Also, anybody done something like this for the 08 g37s? I'd be looking to tow a motorcycle trailer:

The trailer would be this one, and the hitch would need to support 1500lbs:

lots of people have Hankook V12's (19-20"), I have 20" with Yokohama S.Drives. Both tires are good for the money.

I would spend a decent amount of time researching and comparing intake/exhausts.

Personally I would go with the gen 3's or r2c intakes hands down best combo for sound and hp. Now keep in mind that you won't feel a huge difference in performance when upgrading your intakes and exhaust. I would look into ark, their exhausts sounds fantastic and you get some decent gains. Paired up with ur aftermarket cats, it'll sound great and your car will "breathe" better resulting in gains but then again not much.

Fast Intentions also makes a great exhaust. Just get a full exhaust and not an axleback and your good. I would really take the time to research and compare because at the end of the day the sound of the exhaust really matters and you gotta love it to enjoy driving ur ride. goodluck and happy modding!

on another note, is your car a 6mt?

Yeap 6mt. I think I'm pretty much sold on the G3 Stillen Intake setup. The exhaust is still up in the air. Tires (and possibly wheels if I go with 20's) are still up in the air as well. The Potenza RE050a's wear out so quick!

Exhaust you won't see much. When I installed my G3's my butt dyno immediately noticed gain that were pretty significant above 5k RPM. I had a baseline dyno at 276.30 HP, I'm sure I've gained a bit more after installing the G3's.
