I've decided to pull the trigger on some Tanabe Medalions, but I'm having trouble finding anything going for less that $750 before shipping. Is there anywhere I can find them for cheaper or is that the general going price for them? Any retailers on the forum selling them for less?

Also, I can upgrade the midpipe and y-pipe later so my system is a true cat-back, correct?

U can also buy used! I bought used and they are perfect ! I have upgraded to Tanabe Mid Pipe and waiting on the Y pipe! Tanabe I's amazing i can't believe the sound w Mid pipe and mufflers it really has an amazing tone. So far here I's what i spent and way worth it

Used mufflers : $500
Mid Pipe: $545 ( Great up grade , sound really changed w a smoother more aggressive tone) worth every penny.

Y pipe : currently I'm waiting on a deal for $475 shipped wich i will gladly pay but it's backordered till end of may!

I was thinking about that too, but there's just something about a shiny, brand new exhaust. I saw a set go on eBay not too long ago for $530, I should have jumped on them. They had been used for a day, apparently, and they looked absolutely brand new. Where do I get the midpipe and y-pipe?

Yes it I's ! Mid pipe I's def a nice addition to mufflers . Took me forever to get a vendor who had it and finally i got one and i love it. Offer me any catback i would not trade my setup . No exhaust can touch the sound Tanabe gives . I love it !

Agreed with VossenG37S, we both got the Midpipe from the same vendor. Honestly, adding the midpipe takes the exhaust tone to a different level I'm very happy with my current set up waiting anxiously for the Ypipe to complete to a full Tanabe CBE!! Worth every penny those in the fence for this go for it.

 

Got mine used in this forum for ~$400, with less than 2K miles on them.
I'm very happy with them.

Have you checked Amplified and all the other vendors here?

I love the sound of my set up now, (with just Tanabe exhausts)...how does the mid-pipe change the sound? louder? throatier?

Joke u will notice a big change . Mufflers alone were by far so sick and nice sounding, but like Boosah said it takes it to the next level. If someone offered me Fast int new or ARK i wouldn't trade ever , i even had a great opportunity to get ARK for under 1k new and turned it down cause Tanabe the ****. I owned Fast int both CF mufflers and SS w X pipes and Tanabe keeps me happier)

haha same here, looking for tanabes for around $750 or less before shipping, but seems like the retailers that I've searched online with those prices seem to not have them in stock. I guess we're just going to have to wait lol.

 

Yeah, contacted Lou@Amplified, and he quoted me $850.... I could get a whole Invidia system for that price.

Tanabe my fav !!!! Here I's a sample video of my Newely installed Mid Pipe and Mufflers paired up.... Let me just say this set up I's so much louder and throatier I'n person.... It's really intense.
