Did you damage it? These can be cleaned and re-oiled, and have a 1,000,000 mile warranty from K&N.

If so, we have replacements we can ship today. You can use a different filter, but I will state that we did a lot of testing with different sized filters for this application, and did see varying HP results, which is why we've chosen the ones included in the kit. These are not the same for all applications of the Gen 3 Intakes, the Z's use different ones that performed better on those vehicles.

These are genuine K&N filters, and K&N says to clean them at 50,000 mile intervals (although most enthusiasts will do it around 30,000 miles, unless you're in a VERY dirty area).

It's just as simple as using a K&N Recharge kit, which is available at virtually any auto parts store, or we have them available to ship. They aren't expensive.

Here's what it looks like, and instructions on cleaning and re-oiling the filters:

99-5000 - K&N Filter Cleaning Kits and Accessories, Filter Care Service Kit Aerosol
http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/18627B_inst.pdf

We do have customers that will purchase a second set of filters purely for convenience, so they just swap them out, and take their time to clean and re-oil, so there is no downtime to the vehicle. But to clean them it doesn't take that long, you just need to let the filters dry.

That's pretty impressive customer service.
