Gun or Dual Exhaust?

So I have some money I have been saving up for a while and was thinking of dropping it on a gift to myself.

Looking at either a FNH SCAR 16s rifle for roughly $2200-$2400

or

The Ark Performance exhaust for my 2011 G37s sedan.

The rifle will retain value over time and the exhaust will not, although the exhaust is less expensive.

What is your opinion? Also, who is a certified distributor of the Ark exhaust in the Houston, TX area? I need pricing on the exhaust.

If all goes well I will be dropping the cash on one of the two beginning of March.

No I did not, not yet anyway. Just curious what other car enthusiasts think of it. Also advice and opinions are nice, doing the good ol' opinion gathering research.

One is kinda like an investment (gun) although ammunition is costly, other is depreciating value (exhaust)

I also would like the Contact for Houston, TX Ark performance products.

Both are fun and hard to decide.

I was just curious. I actually have an ongoing friendly "argument" with a gun collector. He thinks I "waste" money modifying my cars. He doesn't understand it. I think it's funny/ironic that he can't understand that I have a hobby, just as he does. I enjoy going to the range, but I have to say I'd much rather modify the G.

I was recently debating upgrading my camera and buying a new lens or two... Instead, I purchased some parts for the car.

Whatever you decide, you will find some fresh enjoyment in one of your hobbies.

Depends, do you live next to a frat house? If yes, rifle.
Do you live in an elderly neighborhood? Exhaust, even though it might be too loud for them, whatever.
You can enjoy the gun only sometimes, unless you live near that frat house, but you can enjoy the exhaust whenever you drive.

get the rifle, exhaust can wait. The gun you really can't go wrong with. I'm saving up for either an AR-15 or a HKS exhaust...choices choices

How about tuning your car so it backfires? That way you get the excitement of a loud bang like a rifle and you get a cool sounding exhaust.

Me personally I'd go with the Ark exhaust and then get a HK with the whats left over. LOL My boy has the Ark Grip on his coupe and the mufflers sits really low. We will be at the GTM Baker Nissan (off of 290) meet on Saturday at 11am. You should stop by.

Get the ARK exhaust....you'll get more frequent satisfaction out of it and this isn't really an apples-to-apples comparison anyway because one is twice as much as the other.

Look hard enough and you can find the ARK for under $1100, which would leave you another $1200 or so left over for other things. Have you done springs or coilovers yet?.....you could with the leftover $. Have you done intakes yet?....you could with the leftover $. Have you done sway bars or bracing yet?....you could with the leftover $. Just sayin, $2500 or so will go further in your car....you could get the ARK, nice intakes, lowering springs, GTspec brace, AND sways all installed for about the same cost as this rifle that you'll probably only take to the range every now and then.

Doubt anyone would try to invade Cali first.

More guns in Cali than the entire East Coast combined lol

To the OP:

Let me just go ahead and make it simple. Buy the gun. The gun can save your life, the exhaust won't.
