Let me know if you hear some vibration around 5-6k at WOT... I had someone PM this morning asking if this is normal. Mine have done this same thing for about a year now, and I think it's quite normal and there has been no problem. You hardly notice it after a while... But let us know and congrats, they are great intakes.

By the way, do I have to do anything with the hoses? I heard a while back members were having trouble with the hoses being too short for the intakes.

Anyone know of a place that sells just the heat shields for these intakes? I tried one place but they only sell the heat shields WITH the intakes. I've got JWT's but am trying to use their heat shields instead.

Maybe contact Ed @ R2C directly...

Are you sure the JWT pop chargers filters will fit inside the R2C shields? I thought JWT had larger filters...

I think it's normal too from what I've read on other forums as well.. I'm not worried about it, hardly notice it.. was just wondering cause I know I'm not the only one.

I had the vibration at WOT as well. I think it's the heat shield rubbing up on the hood due to engine movement. I did notice I had some small divots on the hood liner. Nothing to worry about IMO.

youll love the R2C, i do. I dont think the vibration is normal, ive never noticed it, maybe lower the intake down into the bay a bit more via the brackets on the side of the heat seats, (left side is on the left, right side is on the right). I have mine all the way in and havent noticed any rubbing, vibration or bumbs in the hood insulation!

Honestly, I'd keep the R2c over the Gen 2. If you're going Stillen, go for broke and get the Gen 3 system.
