Heat Shield for intake
Heat Shield for intake
I came upon a great deal on a Gen 3 Stillin intake, however the seller misplaced the heat shield, I used to have a 2006 G35 Sedan with a pop-charger and z-tube and I neglected to put the heat shield on, fortunately i never ran into any issues. Being that this is a dual intake im assuming there are some more variables i need to take into consideration. What is your guys take on it? Anyone forsee any issues running the intake without the heat shield?
Thanks for any and all input(s).

If your running short stacks, a heatshield is helpful. I bought short intakes during the summer time and only ran it for a couple days. The car had a spiratic rough idol on hot days. Since it's in the low 50's in the bay right now, I'm trying the intake again. The car is running fine.
If you find some shields to cover the cone, let me know.
Thanks

gen 3 shouldn't have a heat shield its a shield that goes in front of the filters, right behind the grill to keep them dry from rain and splash . just put mine on last weekend. the fitment is terrible and it is a pain to install, but once you are done. they are worth the pain
