Im not an expert, but by adding a Ypipe (Bigger diameter) will not give much gain if any since you will still have the stock mid pipe n axle back. Best bet get a just an axle back (Will for sure change exhaust note) or a full cat for some sound and a bit of power. hope it helps

your ypipe is already a good flowing pipe to begin with.. no need to change it out. unless of course you do a full exhaust system.

but it does the job well. I've owned HR yPipe, DE y pipe and now of course the g37 y pipe.

Coming from a g35 coupe.

Guys will pay 100 for our y pipe and the HR ypipe. it works! The DE Ypipe is the junk one. The pipe we have is actually good for oem exhaust.

swapping out a ypipe on oem exhaust is not worth it.

I have the Ichiba y pipe right now that I will be taking off and selling in the next few weeks, once I get the new tanabe y pipe and mid pipe. Let me know if you are interested. It's got some scrapes on one of the flex joints but still works just fine with no leaks. I could probably make you a good deal on it.

Yup. I'll be sure to do a full review and take plenty of pics and vids. I'm hoping to put it on over thanksgiving break if everything gets here by then.

What are your thoughts on the Ichiba Y-pipe?

It is pretty good, the quality is really nice. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is it has a 3" outlet and doesn't really match up with any other exhausts. The Tanabe is 2.75 and matches up with their mid pipe.

Unless the Tanabe Y-pipe hasbeen redesigned, it will not fit AWD cars since the Tanabe pipe design is based on the first gen G's.

I don't think it has been. The Ichiba is pretty much the exact same shape and design of the OEM, just bigger piping.
