Intake

I was wondering if anyone had done this yet or had any suggestions. I was thinking about getting an intake like this knock off

Infiniti 09 G37 Sedan V6 Dual Short Ram Air Intake Kit: eBay Motors (item 190449103171 end time Oct-25-10 1736 PDT)

and extending it through the bumper with 3 inch polished aluminum intake piping. There are various sites that sell in in different lengths and bends. It would essentially be nearly the same as the gen 3. I would of course eventually upgrade to k&n filters. What do you guys think? should I do this or just bite the bullet and spend the money for the stillen?

i say get it if all youre looking for is some sound because honestly i think our stock air boxes are pretty efficient. i have intakes too but i did it all for sound. just my 2 cents.

I've had these ebay intakes on other cars and they are mostly for sound. The gains felt pretty minimal on the cars I've put them on and you may lose quite a bit of low end power as well.

Its hard to beat the stock intake on these cars. Short rams have never proven any consistent significant gains. heat soak has always been an issues with these.
