HFC options??

I want to know which HFC in the market is best for the performance, want to stay away from LTH, I wants no CEL at all. I have ARK and Gen 3 right now, I dont know how much more gain after the HFC and sound different.

I heard is very hard to take off the stock cat. The bolt is very hard seems like weld on.....is any people have easy time to take it off?

what is the normal shop time for doing HFC job?

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you

I have the Ark catback & Stillen gen 3 intake in my 08 sedan. I have the Berk HFC just sittin around waiting to be installed. But my car is loud enough w/o the HFC, so still debating whether I should install or not. And yes, you are right about the HFC install. I was also told that it's a real PITA to install and very easy to damage the O2 sensor but any experienced shop should be able to install in about 1hr. I called few places and they quoted me $80 - 120 for the HFC install. I'm in Socal btw.

Also, make sure you get a proper tune once you are done w/ your bolt-on mods. I've heard that Stillen gen 3 is making some cars run pretty lean especially with an aftermarket catback + HFC.

Hope that helps.

They will all get you similar gains, so really, that's a non-issue. What really is an issue is price/quality.

Personally, I have the ERZ HFCs. 200 cell for $369... maybe less, depending on who you talk to at NissanGeneration...

Mods, if posting a link to another forum like this is bad, let me know... I'm just trying to save the guy some $$$$...

Any sound clip on the ERZ HFC or RT? Also do you experience the same hissing you get with the Berks?

Hiss/rasp are just a part of HFCs in general. I don't have any vids yet, as I'm waiting for my FI exhaust.

There's a thread at the370z.com in the intake/exhaust section with a review and some vids. I'll find the link later.

This is incorrect, lower cell count means more power.

I have Kinetix HFCs (250 cell count) and they aren't much louder than stock, and have NO rasp w/ my Invidia Gemini CBE.

Well... when I mean "similar gains", I'm talking about within a 5hp/tq range. They are all within that.
The ERZs are 200 cell...
