OEM exhaust same for all G37 models?
Okay quick question, all stock exhaust on the G37 coupes should be the same from the factory right? I was browsing through a few pictures and it seems like the axel part of the muffler part is black but mine is polished (2009 G37S).
Anyone else notice this? Sorry if its a stupid question lol. Bought my car new and i know for sure its not aftermarket muffler but was wondering why it looks different.

My original OEM muffler was "polished"...well polished is a stretch (more like unpainted metal) had the TSB for the rattle done and the new muffler was black. Recently I got the Infiniti/NISMO sport muffler and it was highly polished like a mirror.

How do you like the new muffler? Have you noticed much difference in the sound? Any horsepower gains with it?

Doubt there are any noticeable HP gains, this is mostly for looks and sound. My goal was to have a slightly aggressive note without being obnoxious. Could not have been happier the way it turned out. When you get on it, it sounds mean, but under light throttle or cruise you can hardly tell its there. This brings back that classic G35 sound plus some more. Plus it is all Infiniti warrantied to boot.

My original was black, the replacement is polished. I'm trying to find out if there's a difference. I listened to the rattle and raspy broken muffler so long that I can't tell if there is a difference between the 2. Of course the new unpacked muffler is quiet for now.
