Tanabe axle back on sedan - worth it?

Anyone running a Tanabe axle back on their sedans? Are there any noticable sound gains? Is it worth it, or would you recommend, say a Stillen full cat back?

Thanks for the advice,
Ryan

I have a coupe but used to have the Tanabe. I have a friend locally with the sedan who has the Tanabe. It sounds great, much better than stock IMO.

No. The sedan exhaust setup is totally different from the coupes'. Our sedans utilize a dual muffler set up whereas the coupe uses a single canister style.

for axle back would not really look for a lot of gains. Maybe couple of HP... 1-2 lol. But sounds wise on the tanabes are great. Definitely louder than stock but not obnoxious loudness. I like it because it keeps the car under the radar.

I don't see a G37 sedan axle back on the Tanabe website. I guess the 07-08 G35 axle back fits?

I'm going to go ahead and give it a shot. I don't want really loud, just a nice deep tone. I was thinking about the Stillen, but that seems louder. The Invidias seem quieter, but not thrilled about the rasp/vibration in the vids.

I have Tanabes on my sedan and Id say they are pretty much for looks. There is a difference in sound above 3500 rpm but after a couple weeks, it will sound near stock.

Sound like you are unhappy. Let me know if you want to sell yours.

The Tanabe's for the coupe look more like long cylindrical canisters while the ones for the sedan look like the stock mufflers in shape and size. So, no I doubt the coupe's will fit the sedan.

Just had my Tanabes put on this morning. Sounds good. It is louder than stock, but not in your face louder. I wish it it was a tad bit louder, but it sounds great and the tips look great on the sedan. Nice deep tone.
