Exclamation Anyone else having problems with their Injen CAI ?

Only when my car sits out in the rain for a little bit and then I start to drive it, I really cant hit the gas pedal too much without the rpms cutting off around 3k and car jerks a bit. So I just keep it under there and accelerate slowly.

Are there any filter shields that I can buy to cover up the bottom part of the filter?

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks

I dont think you are sucking up water. Are your MAF sensors loose or getting wet?

My bad I was to clear in the description, it's not that it doesnt rev past 3k because it will, it's just if I push down on the gas pedal hard to try and accelerate fast it jerks but if its slowly accelerating its fine.

Yea I'm going to check the sensors now.

Check for any leaks in the intake. Check your MAF sensors. Then check for CEL codes.

What Betty said, not an intake filter problem; if your intakes were sucking up water you'd know it as your car wouldn't be working right now.

I have the Stillen CAI and drove once in a rainy day.
The car went into limp mode and I had this problem.
Btw my hydro shield for the intakes was misinstalled at that time, so it didn't cover a driver-side filter. I checked that in my garage it was totally soaked.

Checked the MAF sensors yesterday and they were fine, no CEL either. I forgot to check for any leaks in the intake so I'm doing that today.

So do you guys think its worth getting those hydro shields?

by autowash do you mean like a drive through car wash? if so, that is the problem, you shouldn't be going through a car wash!!

Just measure the filter!

I think you guys have leaks somewhere. If not, this doesn't bode well for this style of CAI.
