Powder Coated my muffler, check it out.

After nearly a year, I stll LOVE the way my Megan Racing rear section sounds on the car but I honestly can't say the same for the way it looks. I've been going through this Anti-Bling phase lately. Plus, I was never a big fan of the Burned Tip look. I get so embarassed when people say "Oh my God, your car is so sexy, but what's up with the blue exhaust tips?"

As some of you know, my family owns a Machine Shop as well as a Powder Coating Shop here in New York. We were working on a project for a stealth sportbike yesterday. Coated some parts in High Temp, Medium Luster, Slight Wrinkle Black powder. When I looked at the parts as they came out of the oven, I was like... "OK, it's time." I crawled under the car and pulled the rear section off.

Let me know what you think...

I'm not so much a fan of that look for this car. Maybe on a Subaru or something. Good job on the powder coating though.

Just trying to pull back a sort of muted look on the exhaust. I'd rather it be heard and not seen, but I'm not trying to murder out the car or anything. That's why I went semi-gloss instead of flat.

If down the road I decide that I liked it better polished, we have a 55 gallon dip tank of b17 at the shop... Would take 10 minutes to return.

Hmm not bad. Might need to take some pics in daylight to see it a lil better. Good job on the powdercoat though

lol you should put some red "time attack" rings around the tips.. you could start a new trend! I like the way it came out, it would look sick on a "murdered out" car!

So let me get this straight, you didn't like that little blue burnt tip, so you went ahead and blacked out the whole muffler?

It surely is a nice job but it is going to be a b!tch to clean
