Does the Fujita Intake slow the G37 down? + a few more pics

Hey guys so I bought Fujita Dual Intake for $300 today and I was really excited about installing it into my G until I read..
"sounds nice but your better off just getting 2 K&N replacement filter because they stay in the filter box protected from heat. You lose power with exposed filters sucking in all that heat flowing through the engine bay. The pipes do nothing for power since its a dual intake. even with a turbo those pipes would offer no performance improvement since the factory tubing is more than enough" from some guy on youtube who commented on a fujita intake video. I was wondering if anyone could verify what he is saying is true or not, because I don't want to install something in my car that would decrease the performance and pay an extra 300 bucks for it..

oh and I also have some more pictures that I took by the park. Enjoy!

If your going short ram decent options are injen, JWT, R2C, and takeda (hasn't really been confirmed).

For cold air look at ingen or stillen gen3

both have similar gains confirmed by dyno but stillen requires cutting a hole for the tubes to go through = /

Think of it this way, the OEM design is not robbing your motor of horsepower. This motor has been around for a while and Nissan engineers have had years to improve to intake design. They eventually decided a dual intake was better. The OEM intake is designed very well. Nissan has more engineers working the the G than any aftermarket company could possibly have.

Now, if you want more sound, aftermarket is the way to go.

The way I think of it. If they have aftermarket engine parts for Ferrari's, then there is definitely things that can be improved on the G.

Most short ram intakes on the market suck in engine heat . Heat robs power. If you can isolate the engine heat from the intake, you will see benefit.
The factory intake is a high flow intake that is set up to protect the engine while minimizing heat soak. Finding an improvement on the factory intake is a tough task.

I've finally come back to reality and completely agree with KAHBOOM. I took my Injen SRI out this weekend and put the stock boxes back in. I like the sound, but as far as power, our stock boxes are pretty damn good.
