Make her PURR, make her GROWL, make her ROAR

I'm getting my car back in the next week (TMALSS: rear-ended, 2months in shop) and I'd like to reward myself with some flows. But, I do not want to be driving around sounding like some ****ing Honda lawn mower.

Essentially, I want to keep it as quiet as stock when under 2.5-3K RPM, but when I open her up I want to scare school children, the elderly and local wildlife, and possibly stop pace-makers.

Any combos recommended? I read quite a bit that Injen is like magic, but I’m not sure how it sounds. What about cat-backs or pipes?

BTW, I’m shopping with my ears, not with my 1/4 mile slip. Thank you!

Uhhhhhhhh...that title is not ghey..

You might want to click the magic "SEARCH" button there are about a gazillion threads on this.

YouTube is also a good bet. Type in G37 and the name of an exhaust or intake and you will have plenty to hear..

There are probably 50+ different combos you can make with intake, cats and exhaust that will do what you want.

This title just sounds wrong....are you trying to fvck a cat?

BTW, Injen CAI intake will "roar" abover 4500 rpms but is pretty stock sounding below it

Exhaust, probably stillen or invidia are pretty stock down low i think?

You can have a pet lion in the back. I'm pretty sure it purr's, growl's and roars.

Your going to get a thousand different answers here, but I'll save you some time. The Tanabe's are the best sounding exhaust, and looking for that matter. Any SRI will sound good depends on how much you want to spend and whether you like full tube or half, polished, black or black chrome.

Thanks for the direct answer, Red. Injen-in + Tanabe-out it is!

JWT Pop Chargers and Invidia cat-back exhaust make a good combo.
