Just wonderin'.... any reason why you did not just buy the ceramic coated headers directly from Stillen? Although only the 409 comes in ceramic coating. Dumb question, but what os the diff between 304 and 409? They are having a special right now. All headers are on sale right now.

T304

T304 stainless is generally the highest material grade currently used for exhaust systems. It is an aircraft-quality, 16-gauge stainless containing 18 to 20 percent chromium and 8 to 10 percent nickel, also known as austenitic stainless. This means that the material is highly durable and it will never rust. It is very attractive, and even after extended use, can be polished to a high-shine finish. It also has the lightest weight of any of the material grades because of its high chromium content. T304 stainless is the perfect choice for the vehicle that will be owned for an extended period of time, and/or needs to stand up to rugged use or challenging weather conditions. It's also the only choice for the consumer who simply wants the very best, or is using their vehicle as a show vehicle. T304 systems automatically add to the value of the vehicle, and the appearance is exceptional. Because it is the finest material grade available, it also has a higher price point. This material grade frequently carries a lifetime warranty, depending upon the manufacturer.

T409

T409 stainless is the next grade of stainless available, and is probably the best known and most popular, also known as ferritic stainless. T409 is a low-carbon steel that is at least 12 percent chromium. It is a rugged, durable, long-lasting material grade offering a variety of finishes from dull "mill" finish to a high-shine finish. In extreme applications and harsh weather conditions, it can eventually show signs of wear, such as surface rust, but the core of this material will remain solid. It offers a high-value, attractive material selection at a more affordable price.

Apparently Ceramic coated are on backorder for another 2 months. It doesn't bother me I got a great deal and is a superb work where I get my **** done. Also sale is ending soon and is going back to regular price. BTW Im passing the info that Stillen passed me.

this might be a stupid question, but i didnt see the point in making a new thread for this since it's just a quick question, but is stillen the only company that makes aftermarket headers? i cant find any others, but i dont know if i'm just being stupid or if there really arent any decent headers. also, does anyone know if any other companies are in the process of bringing out new headers?

Is not a stupid question. There is actually another set of headers from Impul for the one and only great price of $2200.00. Without discussion they look a lot better because of the finish but I think Stillen performance serve the purpose and my needs for that price. I really dont care how they look since I wont see em again once they are bolted on. Im dropping mine today for professionally ceramic coating. Hopefully they will come with a lot more selections since the 370z is Nissan's performance machine. But for now I can say Im good until other......Domo Arigato.

Ok. I believe so too. What will be the difference in HP gains from different manufacturers? 2 03 HP's. Would welding details be a big difference in Hp gains and performance? Maybe yes or maybe not!!! For the price and gains as of right now...No contender.

Hey, I respect what you said bro, it made sense! 2-5hp? Better Welds? Thats very true, better headers will provide probably those things, a lil more hp and better welding. And none is out yet besides Impul and for what you pay for right now, there is no contender yet. Thanks for your fair knowledge and response!
