Intake alternative?

ok soo the intake wars for the g so far seem to be just a little better over stock or in some case worse than stock air boxes but the problem with the stocks is there is no pretty growl we hear at WOT. When i had my 04 accord i deleted the intake resonator and at WOT everyone thought i had an intake and asked me what kind did i have. So would we be able to do the same with the g and delete the intake resonator and maybe use the hks drop infliter for stock air box efficiency with the desired growl we look for with an intake?

I took off the resonators for my intakes, doesn't really make a difference. maybe a little louder not by much though.
