Hmmm still can't tell if I want to get this or spend the extra cash and get the FI.

Do you think the "burnt Ti" look could be polished off? Is this the only exhaust for the G37 you have listened too? I really like the way the FI sounds.

yes, my thought is that the burnt finish can be polished off. if you look closely at a couple of the pics i posted, you'll see that from simply spinning the hex bolt against the finish, it scratched off.

if you know what you're doing, or take the time to research, almost any finish or coating can be removed and the surface polished to a mirror-like shine.

i think i remember following a thread posted here about someone who re-polished their scratched gen 3 intake pipes. seems like that method would work perfectly.

Haha. Hey guys, check the YouTube link. Nearly 6000 hits in 3 days. My megan racing installation video is currently the #2 most watched video in the "auto & vehicle" category in south Korea. It is the #77 most watched video in any category in their nation. That's so funny.

I only made the vid to show you guys.

If anyone wants me to install anything else, just send it my way, I guess it's great advertising. J/k

Can you blame the Koreans? It's not everyday you get to see a good looking woman install her own aftermarket mod and drive her sexy 6MT sport coupe

Quite honestly, no, I didn't notice any significant HP increase. My guess is that, only being an axle-back, this piece may have freed up enough exhaust flow to create a possible 2 or 3 hp gain. That's just a guess, don't quote me. I don't have dyno numbers to prove anything.

Almost a week out, I am LOVING this muffler setup. The sound is perfect. When I start the car each morning in the garage, I let it sit for an extra minute or two so I can enjoy the resonance until it tames.

I was waiting for someone to jump on this to see how it looked and sounded. Looks great and it still has a similar stock sound. Nice work!!

Yes, that's a good estimate.

Sitting at idle once it's warm, I'd say it's about 10-15% louder. Nothing that should upset the neighbors.

Under moderate throttle probably about 20-25% louder.

Under heavy or WOT you can get it up to about 30-35% louder depending on how high you let the revs get.

I mean... That's just my ears. I don't have a measuring device.

You don't notice the holes in the tips after the first day or so. Especially from eye level. I promise to get you guys some photos from various distances and heights so you can see what I'm talking about.

^^ I'm already sold on it. This is exactly what i've been look for. I love the burnt tip look, didn't want a ridiculously loud exhaust and I didn't want to break the bank. Just need to get my Injen short intake and I'll be good to go.
