Install price question

Hey all,

Just picked up the stillen full exhaust and gen 3 intakes. Before I continue, I do all the work on my Ducati myself EXCEPT for the desmodromic valves. I am fairly mechanically inclined but I am a little apprehensive to disassemble the entire front end of my new G for fear that when I put it back together I will have rattles, etc... So my question is this: what would be a fair price to pay to have the Gen 3 intakes installed? What about for the exhaust? I would go to a reputable dealer or tuner to have it done, but I want to know an estimate of what is fair before I do this.

Thanks, Mason

i think you should try to take it apart... it's not as bad as it seems... and i doubt you'll have rattles or anything... if you have problems post up on the forums and we can help you... when i got my first mod... i'm like WTF I CANT TOUCH THE CAR, I HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE TO DO IT.... but really it's not that bad... and if you really are going to pay someone.... i'm not sure how many hours it takes to install the stillen....

I would only pay someone if you don't know anything at all about what our about to do. in your case, you may be better off doing it yourself. The chances of getting screw ups by someone else doing it, and then having to PAY them for it is not very enticing to me.

Nice choice on the gen3 intakes, definitely let us know how you like them!

front clip removal is not all that bad....exhaust can be difficult w/o a lift. a shop should charge about an hour give or take for the labor. under 100 is good

I did everything on my exhaust except the HFCs, using floor jack and jackstands. If you have the right tools it's not bad at all. I would not recommend doing HFCs, since there are several problems you can run into which can be show-stoppers. I installed JWT popcharger but those don't go into the front of the car. Definitely looking through the forums and getting some of the great DIYs helped a lot. Good luck.

exhaust is easy to do. Really easy if you have ramps but jacks are the same too. Just a couple of bolts. Be easier if you have a friend to help.

Taking the bumper is really easy to and i dont see anything that would rattle because everything snaps back on or is screw back on so it should go back on just like you never took it off
